I love the end panel! I always wondered why madame Giry told Raoul to keep his hand at the level of his eyes. I mean it's not like it helped him much, did it! He still fell down that bloody hole!
Anyway, this really made me smile so thanks for that.
What I heard about the whole 'keep your hand at the level of your eye' thing was that it was to keep the phantom from sneaking up behind you and strangling you. If you had your hand up there you could throw off the noose.
