I have way too many projects and papers to do ><
Okay so its just one project and a paper…. Not to mention dressing up as a film character for my film class. For my art classes final project I'm doing an illustrated children's book- jack and the beanstalk, but all the art is done with an Asian flavor and the story is a little different (takes place in old japan).
Anyway I'm excited because I'm getting yun kouga's doujinshii art book which she published this year and since I'm a total kouga-sensei fan girl I'm going to have to be hyper for a while^^
Oh, and I joined a club, for fans of silver haired bishi^^
If anyone can think of more silver haired bishi to add to her list, tell her!

Graphic Novels
So kids are really into the graphic novels these days. I think its great, kids getting visual vocabularies, experiencing how stories can be told in sequential art etc. I've heard parents say, 'put that back its not a real book' so prejudice against them still exists of course, but the fact that kids are interested in them, even reluctant readers, is pretty cool.
Schools seem a little AR(Accelerated Reader) obsessed. I know its an easy tool for assigning reading and measuring if the kid read the book, but AR rates a book by vocabulary, not interest or quality, so kids can miss out on great books that might make them better readers. Of course

Devious Journal Entry
Hi! I know I've ignored DA for a long time but I've been busy and blah blah blah. Anyway, I guess that means I'll try and post some of the new stuff I've done in the last few months. I've mostly been working on Music of the Woods manga and there is a good bit of that done. (I've been going back, redrawing bits I don't like and editing before it goes up.)
Greek comics are on hold for a while but I've thought about going back and drawing the comics again and doing a good job rather than the pencil sketches.
I will be at an artist alley table at Anime Weekend Atlanta this September and I'll be selling prints, maybe calendars, maybe manga and a
webcomic

This is where I've just started on my web comic site over at comic genesis (formerly keenspace). The comic is Music of the Woods and is now in an easy to read format, rather than downloading the whole thing chapter by chapter (however this can still be done over at my website- https://www.geocities.com/musicofthewoods/
